Setting up a meeting with the Makerspace

- Choose an appointment...
- Select the amount of time that is needed for the appointment.

- Check the box for laser engraving.

- Select a time from the ones listed and click “Continue.”
- Your Information
- Fill in the remaining boxes with your name, email, and the goal of the meeting.
- Select “Complete Appointment.”
The laser engraver takes about 30 min to complete half a sheet of acrylic, but it is helpful to select “Blugold Makerspace - 60min” in case it goes longer than expected.
Before the meeting ensure that you have access to the file that needs to be cut either downloaded to your laptop or on a flash drive. Brad has a flash drive that can be used to move the file from your laptop to the laser cutter, but an adapter is needed if you don’t have a USB-A port.
Other notes:
- The Makerspace is located in the basement of the library, behind the elevators
- Uncut acrylic is found on the top shelf of lab bench 3 in P366
- Acrylic is cut with the brown layer on it to prevent scratching in transport
